Student Horizons is proud to announce a three year partnership with Queensland Rugby Union and St. George Queensland Reds, becoming the official school sports tour partner of Queensland Rugby Union and forming a long-term partnership with the club.
The partnership sees an alignment with Queensland secondary schools XV’s and 7s tournaments, with Student Horizons given naming rights to Ballymore Cup and the All Schools Queensland Sevens Tournament. Tournaments are annual and run by Queensland Rugby Union. Student Horizons is a leader in overseas school tours and has a strong industry reputation in the rugby tours sector, having organised hundreds of tours all over the world for schools and rugby clubs across Australia and New Zealand.
Student Horizons Founding Director Jamie Wansey is an enthusiastic rugby advocate himself and explains his passion for becoming the name behind the Student Horizons Ballymore Cup and Student Horizons All Schools Queensland Sevens Tournament.
“With our Australian head office based in Brisbane, we’re delighted to partner with Queensland Rugby Union and the St. George Queensland Reds. We are committed to supporting rugby in Australia, in particular here in Queensland, and this partnership supports this entirely,” says Wansey.
“Although we also specialise in education and music tours, rugby tours remain a large part of our core business. It’s the sport that helped establish Student Horizons and over the years we’ve since evolved to specialise in all areas of education. We are simply delighted to be investing back into the sport at a grass roots level through the Queensland Rugby Union secondary schools competitions.”
