|After match snap with opposing team at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium|
|Boys at Sigiriya Rock Fortress|
Winning an impressive 5 games out of 7, these boys did incredibly well playing in conditions VERY different to that which they are used to at home…after all it’s not often that you get a 35 degree day with 80% humidity in Auckland! The lads were lucky enough to play at not only one, but two International Test Stadiums at Pallekele and Dambulla. They were quite literally walking in the footsteps of their cricketing heroes and were able to relive and recreate classic shots off their own bats! Many of the boys, knowing that they were visiting an impoverished third world country, brought extra gear with them which they kindly gifted throughout the tour to the opposition players, spectators and cricket die-hards who simply weren’t able to afford any gear of their own. It was a privilege to watch these boys adapting so well to this new environment and being so giving to those less fortunate. A truly eye opening experience for them all.
Throughout the tour the boys truly did their school proud. They represented Sacred Heart College with pride and really did prove themselves as cricketers to be reckoned with, no matter where in the world they are playing. Congratulations boys on a fantastic tour, it has been a pleasure for us here at Student Horizons to follow your tour and hear of your success. #ChallengeDiscoverAchieve

Tour Leader Feedback - "We had such a fantastic and worthwhile trip – thank you so much for all of your organisation behind the scenes, it meant that the trip was so efficient and easy for us to run (which I very much appreciate!). I was blown away by all the accommodation, travel and match day set ups and I can only imagine how much time and effort went into that - again, thank you so much!"
