A group of Kelvin Grove State College’s most accomplished writers, poets, and theatre enthusiasts took off for London in late November on a two-week tour of the UK.
The students from St Joseph’s Nudgee College experienced the hustle and bustle of Colombo, spotted wild elephants in Habarana, climbed over 1000 steps up the ancient Sigiriya Rock Fortress and experienced the culture and history in Kandy.

In July 2018, Mt Albert Grammar School took to the Hollywood Hills to discover the secrets of the movies. The tour told the stories of Paramount, Warner Bros and Universal Studios and gave students an appreciation of the variety of artists required to bring a scene to life.

The St Joseph’s Nudgee College Under 15s rugby tour to Fiji was a huge success. For most of the 40 boys, this was their first school tour and they were buzzing with excitement. The boys travelled with two teams winning five out of their six games on tour, putting them in good mind frame leading in to their rugby season.
