Student Horizons donates 70 sets of bedding to the St Vincent de Paul Society

Last week Student Horizons donated over 70 sets of bedding to the St Vincent de Paul Society; a charity which supports people in need all over Australia. We decided to get in touch with Vinnies as, similar to the Foundation of Student Horizons, they are passionate about giving back to the community and do so through many different programs and events.

The program that really caught Student Horizons Managing Director Jamie Wansey’s attention was the Vinnies Kids Camp, where children are given the opportunity to take part in a free holiday camp to build their self-esteem, confidence, teamwork and social skills. These camps occur throughout Queensland three times a year and are for children aged 8-12.

The bedding donated will be sold in Vinnies Stores around Queensland with profits going towards Vinnies Kids Camp.

We are thrilled to have sent these sets of bedding to a better cause and we can’t wait to watch the Kids Camp grow!
