The 2013 Westlake Mother - Son Breakfast is a fundraiser for the 2014 UK/Spain Football Tour that Student Horizons is organising. It takes place on Thursday 16th May.

Mother Son Breakfasts have become a special tradition at Westlake BHS. These events offer an opportunity for mothers and sons to spend some quality time together while enjoying the entertainment and inspiring messages of a top quality guest speaker.

The Guest speaker this Thursday is Kevin Biggar - Trans-Atlantic rower, Antarctic explorer, author Kevin Biggar, modern day adventurer, author and award-winning motivational speaker will share invigorating stories about his Trans-Atlantic Rowing Race and his unsupported, 1200 km man-haul to the South Pole, a feat that fewer than 50 people have ever achieved.  For these expeditions, Kevin teamed up with Jamie Fitzgerald and both men encountered numerous storms, physical challenges, gear failures, curious whales, stinging jellyfish and in the South Pole, temperatures as cold as -40 degrees.

Kevin is an internationally recognised motivational speaker. He featured in the TV ONE series “First Crossings” and is the author of “Escape to the Pole” and “The Oarsome Adventures of a Fat Boy Rower”. His presentations have made a lasting impact on many audiences.
