Robbie O' Donnell recounts on how his Student Horizons gap year is going at Crosfields School in the UK with fellow Gapper, Warren Wild.

"We are into our second term over here at Crosfields School in Reading, UK and I can say on behalf of Warren and myself we are loving each and every day of our gap year  experience. The Easter holiday was an enjoyable time away from work for Warren and myself as we were both busy and had the opportunity to see friends and  family. Warren went to see the sunny shores of France as he and a few close friends visited Jersey. I was lucky enough to experience a trip to India as my dad is working in the Indian Premier League for the Bangalore Royal Challengers. This was a life changing experience as I trained and travelled with the team, which contains some of the world’s best players ever! The organisation and set up of this tournament is world class and the combination of this and sunshine made my Easter holiday one to remember.

We are now into the summer term over here, where we are coaching cricket with the boys and rounders with the girls. It is good to be outdoors without 7 layers on and in the British sun, as we have had some good weather here of late.

This is a very exciting term for the both of us as we are playing cricket for Finchampstead Cricket Club and have lots of travelling to look forward to in the summer break.

This is a brief summary of how our gap year is shaping up to be one of the best years of our lives to date. We are very lucky to have been given this opportunity and are very grateful as this has been an amazing year already and weare not even half way through our year here. That is over and out from us herein the UK and will continue our progress updates as soon as possible"
