It was a great week for the Anglican Church Grammar boys on their September swimming tour to New Zealand! They dived straight into it with intense training sessions over the first couple of days with Coast Swim Club in Auckland. The boys were put into different teams of mixed age groups, and everyone got along swimmingly! They were all determined to get the most out of these sessions, and each student gained skills and learned fresh techniques that they will be able to improve upon back home.
Team building and bonding continued outside of the pool as well, with a variety of New Zealand’s best natural sights, cultural experiences and adventure tourism all on the agenda. Everyone had a blast in Rotorua, with the Gondola Skyline, the Luge, and the Kawarau Jet Boat Ride on Lake Rotorua. The trip up Auckland’s Sky Tower was another highlight, where the boys enjoyed a fantastic lunch with 360 views of the city. Other attractions they visited were the Waitomo Glowworm Caves, Mitai Maori Village, the Mt Eden Summit and Kuirau Park.
Thanks so much to the Anglican Church Grammar boys for making this a very successful tour and we look forward to working with them again!
