The students of St Mary’s College Toowoomba embarked on the tour of a lifetime. They spent 14 days traveling and learning about the rich history in Europe – specifically the UK, France, Germany and Belgium. From visiting past concentration camps, to wandering through abandoned war bunkers, they were able to gain a different perspective on the wars of our past. Visiting the Western Front Doomsday Beaches in Northern France, it was a sombering experience being able to stand where soldiers stood and sadly lost their lives. Their remembrance tour was certainly a once in a lifetime experience and has opened their eyes to the world around them.
