Sydney School Rugby Tours

The most visited city in Australia has this accolade for a reason… From it’s golden beaches, breathtaking harbour, world famous landmarks, to it’s educational museums, art galleries, exciting activities and high profile sports teams.

The busiest and largest city in Australia provides your Rugby squad with a host of competitive fixtures and professional training opportunities.

Off the field, your team can walk ‘The Games Trail’ at Homebush Bay (home to the 2000 Olympic Games), take a behind the scenes tour at the ANZ stadium, take a dip at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, or cross the city take a tour of the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). If you’re tour is at the right time, you may even be able to catch a live professional rugby game!

Student Horizons believes team building is an important element of any sports tour. By incorporating a day session or activity of a team building into your Sydney school rugby tour can significantly improve your team’s cohesiveness and your team members’ level of satisfaction and enjoyment in the sport. Often a highlight and a memorable part of a tour, team building activities strengthen your team’s dynamics, improve communication, motivation, and help create an environment in which each team mate can thrive.

While on your rugby sports tour, you may wish to provide a co curricular activities by including some more cultural and educational programs, such as Powerhouse Museum, National Maritime Museum, Art Galleries and learning about Australia’s early settler history, convicts and British Colonisation at the Rocks.

It’s not just all work on a Student Horizons sports tour!… Sydney is abundant in exciting activities for your team. Climb one of the most iconic bridges in the world, take a behind the scenes tour of the world’s most recognisable “sails”, the Sydney Opera House (don’t forget to take a photo of your team on the Opera House Steps with the bridge in the background!), visit the world famous Bondi Beach (and maybe have a chat to the iconic Bondi Rescue Lifeguards!), ride a roller coaster at Luna Park, or hop aboard one of Sydney’s harbour ferries for a breathtaking trip to Taronga Zoo or Manly. The options are practically endless!

While basing your tour in Sydney, there is also options for adding an extra day or two further a field. Consider adding on a trip to the Blue Mountains on the city’s fringe – famous for its World Heritage-listed landscape, ‘Three Sisters’, rock formation and the spectacular limestone Jenolan Caves.

Consider bringing two of your rugby teams (or a team of a different sport) it only adds to the excitement, as you’ve got an instant cheer squad!
