Thanks for all the work that your team did during our trip. According to my sources it was one of the most difficult starts and one of the worst accidents that you have had to deal with – I hope that it hasn’t put Ben off! On that note I would say what a great job Ben did. He worked tirelessly and was always working to do the right thing by the boys/the trip and your company. I would have to say that he was outstanding in terms of dotting his ‘I’s’ and crossing his ‘T’s. He worked in well with the adults on the trip and showed a maturity above his years in terms of balance between being friendly and professional. His relationship with the boys was spot on, he was friendly and liked, always professional but also had the ability to pull back when it was appropriate. One night when one of our boys had to go to hospital Ben got a total of 45 minutes sleep as he was working with the insurance company and the boys parent. This was a great relief to me as the tour leader as I knew he was doing everything possible to get the best result in a challenging situation. Keep in mind that there were 37 other boys who also needed to be catered for. The experiences that I had on this trip were very different to any other. It just reinforced to me how important it is to go through a tour company such as yours. It would have been very difficult for me to have coped with the challenges that we had if Student Horizons weren’t there, quite frankly I wouldn’t have had the resources. As has been the case in the past thanks for providing us an invaluable, critical service and, just as importantly, stepping up and doing a great job when the pressure was on. In my opinion it is when the pressure is on that people/organisations need to step up and show what they are made of – this is there true worth. Suzy, Ben and Student Horizons didn’t shy away from this and came up with a fantastic result.
